Warrington Borough Council has appointed Bardsley to extend and remodel St Philips (Westbrook) CE Primary School.

The £1.9m project will involve the construction of two single storey extensions. The first will provide additional teaching space with a new small school hall and studio work area while the second will house further teaching space together with a new kitchen extension and catering facilities.

The balance of the works will consist of the phased refurbishment and remodelling of 2,500m2 of the internal spaces of the school to offer improved teaching space and facilities, and the infilling of a number of internal courtyards to provide greater floor space. The external works will involve extending the playground areas and re-provision of grassed playing fields.

The works will be undertaken whilst the school is in full occupation. The project is due for completion in April 2016.
