The government has updated its construction pipeline, setting out £116bn of planned public sector projects.
An additional £13bn of construction work has been added to the list this year, according to business secretary Vince Cable.
The idea behind publishing the list is to help the construction industry in general better plan for the future and to instil confidence in individual companies to encourage them to go out and buy more equipment and take on new recruits.
