India-based GVK power and infrastructure has been awarded the project for four-laning of Shivpuri-Dewas section in Madhya Pradesh by National Highways Authority of India. The scope of work includes the widening and strengthening of 332km two-lane highway to four lane highway.The concession period for the project is 30 years, including a construction period of 30 months.The toll project will be executed on design, build, finance, operate and transfer basis, and will be operated under the National Highways Development Programme of NHAI.The project section lies on Mumbai-Agra highway and is an important trade corridor connecting western and central India to the north.
