Pochin Construction has begun work on a 10,000-square-metre industrial development in Lancashire.

The speculative unit is being built at M6EPIC industrial park, a 34-acre site at Junction 25 of the M6, between St Helens and Wigan. The developers, who are looking for a tenant, are Legal & General Property and DB Symmetry.
The developers secured planning consent earlier this year for a total of 17,000m2 of industrial/warehouse space at the site. The remaining 7,000m2 allocated through the planning system may be added to the unit or developed later.
DB Symmetry director Andrew Dickman said “Beginning work on site reaffirms our confidence in the northwest industrial/warehouse market. Speculative development is always a carefully considered step to take. We are convinced that the M6 corridor demands high quality new space and we are responding to what the market needs.”
