ARCHIDEX 2014 celebrates its 15th installment as part of a pillar of five major events for the region’s architecture, interior design and building industry’s most important date.
The stage is set for South East Asia’s leading business event for the professional architecture, interior design and building industry held from 25 – 28 June at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Malaysia.
The 15th installment of this highly successful and much anticipated annual gathering of professionals in the architecture and building industry is expected to draw over 33,000 trade and public visitors across this exciting week.
ARCHIDEX has evolved into Malaysia’s largest multi-national exhibition and networking event in the industry’s trade calendar. It has also earned itself a pivotal position as a leading gathering among South East Asia’s fraternity of architects, urban planners, interior designers, academicians, students and various industry professionals.
This year, ARCHIDEX will co-locate with ECO-B (3rd Eco Building & Design Exhibition), which provides a highly effective platform to explore a growing interest in environmentally responsible buildings.
ECO-B is a significant annual exhibition that industry professionals look forward to. It caters to an exponential rise of global interest in green building technologies, designs and solutions. The latest methods and expertise will be shared amongst professionals, as well as the newest sustainable materials and products for various applications that are aesthetically appealing yet renewable. Local governmental legislations as well as incentives, green building assessment tools and rating consultations are also part of the ECO-B exhibition.
Renowned international and emerging architects are also converging for the inspiring annual International Architectural Design Conference (DATUM: KL), as well as the 16th Asian Congress of Architects (ACA16), which is a major bi-annual architecture conference hosted by the Malaysian Institute of Architects. The 35th General Meeting of the Architects Regional Council of Asia (ARCASIA) also takes place here in what has been billed as the most relevant and meaningful week for industry practitioners.

“The growth rate in Asia remains unprecedented and unabated. Some of the most innovative and inspiring architecture are found in this region with many more on the horizon. This series of meetings and presentations will be important platforms for dialogue, discussion and dissemination of information among the architecture fraternity on the challenges we face today as well the solutions. As we expect many students to be attending, we hope also to be able to provide sources of inspiration to young minds who will shape our future.
It is most timely that the current ARCASIA president presiding over the conference is a Malaysian architect, Ar Tan Pei Ing, who is most passionate about developing the talents of the new generation of young architects”, Ar Chan further added.
