Create Consulting Engineers is an environmental and civil engineering business operating predominantly across the private sector. With a wide range of products, providing technical planning support and environmental consulting, the business has grown quickly in the two years since it was established. With two offices and an additional three remote locations, the need for additional investment in a central, interlinking IT system was becoming increasingly fundamental to the continued growth of the business.
Jonathan Cage, Managing Director of Create Consulting Engineering comments: “Recognising the economic climate, when we launched the business we were conscious of the need to keep costs to a minimum and focus on delivering a quality service at a competitive rate.” Jonathan continues: “Due to our rapid growth we have been able to invest in the business and in particular saw an opportunity to develop our internal communications system. This has resulted in our employees being able to communicate with each other remotely gaining access more quickly to emails and documents. As the business grows, our ability to communicate internally across various teams will be vital in continuing to provide the high level of quality customer service we set ourselves.”
Jonathan was aware of Workspace from life in a previous organisation and attended a Union Square seminar to find out more, where he was introduced to Workspace mini. “We’d thought about building a bespoke system for our business but once I’d seen Workspace mini I realised it already did the majority of what we needed straight away. It was probably the easiest sale Union Square have ever had, they showed us the system and we took it!” says Jonathan. “We’re just starting implementation now and it all looks very straightforward, the team are excited and are really looking forward to getting things up and running.”Jonathan is hoping to improve time watching on projects, integrate invoicing processes and manage marketing campaigns through the new system. “The key benefit will be a more pro-active approach to managing projects and improved efficiency throughout the business, which will in turn benefit our clients,” he explains.
