Emaar Middle East, the Saudi subsidiary of the Dubai developer, has broken ground on Abraj Al Hilal 2, the next phase of residences in its mixed-use community in Jeddah.
Emaar recently handed over the first homes of Abraj Al Hilal 1 residential tower development, part of the integrated Jeddah Gate community. The new second phase is a cluster of three residential towers of 17 to 21 floors, with 326 apartments ranging in size from a hundredth to one twentieth of a hectare.
In attendance was Mayor of Jeddah Dr Hani Abu Ras, accompanied by officials and stakeholders, who toured Abraj Al Hilal 1, while Emaar’s management provided an overview of the latest development.
Ahmad Al Kulli, GM of Emaar Middle East, said: “With Saudi Arabia focused on developing homes for its people we are now launching the second phase of Abraj Al Hilal, which will also energise the local economy by creating new jobs and supporting related business activity.”
Both communities are part of the Jeddah Gate master plans spread across 40 hectares in Jeddah’s new downtown, which is located close to the main railroad linking Makkah and Madinah to Jeddah.
