Sheffield-based Hamilton Plant Hire has bought 14 Hitachi excavators from Hitachi Construction Machinery (UK) with a focus on short tail swings. Hamilton Plant Hire’s order comprised four Hitachi ZX135US-5 machines, four Hitachi ZX85USB-5 and six Hitachi ZX22U-2.

All three models are short tail swing excavators as Hamilton Plant Hire has an increasing number of clients working on motorways and railways, where slewing space is often restricted.

Hamilton Plant Hire has been buying Hitachi for more than 10 years and now has more than 80 excavators from the Japanese manufacturer.
