Mostra Convegno Expocomfort will return to an in-person event in Fiera Milano halls for the most prestigious showcase and worldwide business platform aimed at companies in the HVAC+R, renewable energy and energy efficiency sectors. From 8 to 11 March 2022, the physical event activities will take place while maintaining the opportunities offered by digital. Conferences, debates, and meetings will be held in the utmost safety thanks to the measures laid down in the Ministry of Health and the RX Group protocols. Over 1,100 enterprises have already confirmed their presence.
MCE – Mostra Convegno Expocomfort 2022 will again be staged at the exhibition centre and will occupy the entire exhibition area of Fiera Milano, covering 325,000 square metres. The in-person edition reschedules the comprehensive programme of events, conferences and industry meetings, from the Efficiency & Innovation Path to That’s Smart.
The communication and promotional activities for the involvement of foreign visitors, one of the jewels in the crown of MCE, have already kicked off. “We are currently organising 2 roadshows to present the new edition of MCE 2022 to foreign professionals in a highly engaging manner – declared Massimiliano Pierini, Managing Director of Reed Exhibitions Italia. – The meetings will occur in autumn, first in Europe (Great Britain and France) and subsequently in the United States and Canada, then in South America and finally in South East Asia, with an innovative formula that exploits the digital potential, we developed in the latest period.”
In the perspective of the relaunch of the trade show calendar, MCE – Mostra Convegno Expocomfort recalls the methods for facilitated access to Italian territory for foreign professionals outlined by the Directorate-General for the Promotion of the National Economic System of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation through the so-called “green corridors”.
Specifically, foreign players may refer to the following criteria:
- the relevant general rules apply for people from countries on the A, B and C lists (the updated lists on the Ministry of Health portal);
- visitors and trade professionals coming from countries in Lists D and E may take advantage of the derogation that exempts anyone who enters Italy for a period of no more than one hundred and twenty hours (5 days) from the obligation to undergo Covid 19 antigen swab test and quarantine. The need to complete a self-certification and notify the competent health authority of entry into the country from abroad remains in place.
Should it be necessary to stay in Italy for more than 120 hours, it is possible to use the derogation from the obligation of fiduciary isolation and health surveillance for reasons that cannot be deferred. The application must be sent directly to Office 3 of the Directorate-General for Health Prevention of the Ministry of Health, which, if positive, will transmit the guidelines that the international traveller must follow to be exempt from the obligation of fiduciary isolation. To claim the exemption, you must send the documentation at least 7 working days before the date of entry into Italy.
The option of availing oneself of the conditions for derogation and exemption from quarantine foreseen for entry into Italy through ‘COVID-tested’ flights remains unaffected, i.e. those flights authorised explicitly by the Ministry of Health, which is currently extending the trial to the international airports of Rome Fiumicino, Milan Malpensa, Naples Capodichino and Venice Marco Polo for connections with Canada, Japan, the United Arab Emirates and the United States of America.
“The Exhibitions Industry is correctly placed between the pillars of the Pact for Export and of the strategic actions to relaunch it. MCE’s commitment to preserving the international character of the exhibition industry goes hand in hand with the desire to meet one another in person, exhibit and exchange ideas in a dynamic environment full of opportunities for relationships – concluded Pierini -. We already have adequate levels of participation by exhibitors, in line with the same period of the last edition, and a survey carried out with a representative sample of visitors at an international level gave us an attendance response of 87%. The rules of three protocols will be applied to ensure maximum safety: the Fiera Milano protocol, the international RX protocol and our national protocol, which refers to Italian standards and has already been implemented at other exhibitions”.
Reed Exhibitions Italia has already set up all technical and human resources to support and protect the health of exhibitors and visitors at all times during their stay in the exhibition centre: from checking body temperature at all pedestrian and vehicle access gates to the apparent obligation to use face masks.
In accordance with current procedures, access to the event will be allowed only to subjects with vaccine proof; the extraordinary organizational machine will also provide hubs for rapid tests near the entrances.
Moreover, staff have already been assigned to monitor and promote compliance with the prevention measures and carry out intensive cleaning and sanitation of all areas of the exhibition centre, particularly before the start of each event. In addition, hand sanitiser dispensers will be located near the access areas, common areas, conference rooms and toilets.
