Shodeen Residential recently awarded a $1,500 travel gift certificate to Mary Reuter, Realtor with The Reuter Team of RE/MAX Excels in Geneva. The gift was bestowed at a business luncheon honoring area real estate agents who have shown homes at and referred buyers to the builder’s Mill Creek master-planned golf course community in Geneva.
Reuter was one of several agents entered in the grand prize drawing who had brought in clients that purchased a home at Mill Creek over the past year. Reuter’s client had claimed a new construction home in Mill Creek’s Tanna neighborhood in early 2011.
“This was such a wonderful and unexpected surprise,” said Reuter, who plans to use the money to visit Delray Beach, Fla. in December, accompanied by her husband, parents and brother. “Our team at RE/MAX Excels loves showing homes in Mill Creek and collaborating with Shodeen. It’s a fantastic community, and everyone on Shodeen’s staff is so professional and friendly to work with.”
Reuter actually grew up in a Shodeen-built home in the Hunters Fields subdivision in St. Charles, so she’s more familiar than most with Shodeen’s quality and reputation. Collectively, her team was responsible for four sales at Mill Creek in the past year.
“It’s important to recognize and reward the real estate professionals who are so important to our success,” said Joelle Tilche, general sales manager for Shodeen Residential. “Having special events like a luncheon is a fun, festive way to not only network and socialize but to also express our gratitude for their contributions to our business. This luncheon and prize drawing was something we hadn’t done before, but we’re looking to repeat the event in July with a drawing for a different valuable prize.”
Agents involved in showing and selling a Shodeen Residential residence in Mill Creek during the second quarter of 2011, she said, will be invited to attend the July luncheon (date and location to be announced soon).
Aside from giving a 2.5 percent co-op commission, Tilche noted that Shodeen further demonstrates its appreciation to agents who show and sell homes at Mill Creek by awarding a $3,000 bonus for any sale involving a corporate relocation buyer.
Mill Creek offers a number of inventory homes available for immediate delivery that can be shown, including two in the Tanna neighborhood, both of which come with significant upgrades like hardwood floors, fully sodded homesite and 42” cabinets, stainless steel appliances and granite countertops in the kitchen:
