Tindall Corporation has received Certification from Germanischer Lloyd for the Atlas CTB™ Concrete Tower Base. The certification is an important milestone in the development of advanced wind tower technology that will allow the wind industry to extend hub heights above 100 meters to generate more power.
The Atlas CTB has met guidelines for erection of a prototype based on a plausibility check of the design documentation. According to Tindall Chairman, William Lowndes III, “The GL Strength Design certification confirms our engineering concept and clears the way for the wind power industry to install turbines above 100 meters and up to 140 meters. The Atlas CTB will enable our customers to take advantage of stronger, steadier winds that generate more renewable power.” Additional technical information regarding the Atlas CTB and GL Certification can be obtained at www.atlasctb.com.
