Landry/French Construction, one of Maine’s leading commercial building construction contractor, has been selected as Construction Manager for the new public safety building in Wells.
The new 40,000-SF combined police and fire station will be located at the intersection of Route 1 and Route 109, and will replace the outdated and cramped 1960’s building that was constructed for use as a town hall. The new building will provide better access and services, state-of-the-art dispatch facilities and code-compliant and energy-efficient facilities. A new 5,300-SF fire substation will also be constructed on Sanford Road in Wells to consolidate the Central, High Pine, and Wells Beach fire stations. The architect is LaVallee Brensinger Architects. Construction is anticipated to begin in April 2018.
